About Me
As of February 1st, 2009, I’ve been hired by ING Direct as part of their in-house web user experience team.
I have an eclectic array of skills, ranging from print design, logos & branding, and advertising, to web design and development, including hand-coded html & CSS as well as PHP and mySQL. I previously worked 2 years at RT&E, a 50+ year old ad agency in Wilmington, DE, where I served as their Interactive Manager. Prior to that, I worked 6 years for a small but growing design studio, doing everything above, as well as CAD work in designing exhibits and POP retail displays. Before that, I ran the art department of a national chain of retail stores for 3 years, supporting at most 75+ corporate and franchise retail stores with a plethora of advertising and web needs.
When I’m not in front of a computer screen, I enjoy the view of the outdoors from the saddle of my mountain bike, or from the side of a sheer rock face. I frequently volunteer my time to maintain the trail systems of White Clay Creek State Park, and have recently created a popular trail map of the park. I play a number of instruments, including acoustic guitar, bass and percussion. I also draw and paint, and I aspire to someday create a respectable watercolor.
My Wife, Lynn, is the queen of Photoshop, and can make even the most mangled old photo look like it was taken yesterday (although she asks that you please not mangle your old photos). My wonderful daughter Zoe was born on Christmas Day 2004, and she’s already showing an interest in art and music (and Elmo). In June, 2007, our family grew to four with the addition of my second daughter, Charlotte.
